You’ve loved our pizza for over 53 years, so we decided to introduce another Connie’s original:
Jake’s 26th Street!
Connie’s has teamed up with Whiner Beer Company to bring you this spicy Saison inspired by the life and times of Giacobbe Stolfe, father of Connie’s founder Jim Stolfe.
About Our Beer
Jake’s 26th Street is a beer style known as a “saison” or “farmhouse ale” made with Cascade and Centennial hops. The Cascade hops are added for their fresh pine and slight citrus notes. The yeast generates a spicy finish with notes of basil and thyme. Whiner brewmaster Brian Taylor has perfected our new craft beer to pair well with our robust southern Italian cuisine, especially with our famous deep dish pizza.
At 7% ABV, Jake’s packs quite the punch. The price will be $6 for a glass and $24 for a pitcher.
Giacobbe Stolfe, or Jake for short, immigrated from Reggio Calabria, Italy. Jake worked on the docks in the Back of the Yards just steps away from Whiner Beer Company. Working and hustling his way through the south side streets, he teamed up with his son to help make Connie’s a neighborhood staple.
