As we wrap up the Taste of Chicago this year, we wanted to thank our fans—new and returning—for enjoying their slices of Chicago’s best pizza. On the menu: Cheese and Sausage Deep Dish along with Meatball Subs and Frozen Chocolate Bananas. This year, we sold over 20,000 slices and over 4,000 meatball subs.
We had some notable fans stop by throughout the festival’s 5-day run: On Saturday, former Sox player, 1983 MLB All Star, and old friend, Ron Kittle visited our booth. Bill Daley of the Chicago Tribune also paid us a visit and wrote about the pizza—check out the full article here.
The biggest praise, however, goes to our staff. The hours are sometimes long and the weather is never perfect, but they’re always serving slices with a smile. Thank you Connie’s Team.
The Taste of Chicago has been running since 1980 and has grown from 250,000 attendees to over 1.4 million this year. In its 36th year, 67 restaurants participated in the festival.
